If you walk around the grocery store these days and focus on the packing of the products for a moment its almost like they want you to believe that everything is new.
I bought all the products I could find that said “New” on the packaging and gave it a closer look. As I already suspected I quickly found out that none of them were really new.
All of the products where in fact old or there was a slight change to the older product that big was enough for the manufacturer to call it “All New” again.
So i thought, if they can get away with it, lets see if I can. I went to my parents house to look for objects I’ve known my entire life. Photographed them in a clean sterile way, printed them out on standard 10×15 photo paper and hung them in a grid on the wall.
I mapped this grid and projected an animation on top of the photo’s that claimed that all of the products are brand new. Because of the speed and intensity of this animation you are unable to see if the objects your are looking at are new or not, all you see hypnotizing light show and the words “ALL” and “NEW”.
